Elmo tickles me

First and foremost lets get to the good stuff, Elmo did an interview with Ricky Gervais which was only going to result in one thing; you laughing. I dare you not to.

So it got me thinking about Elmo, not to spoil the fun or anything but the creator of Elmo is actually a normal bloke. I was surprised to learn that I was surprised by Elmo’s creator, Kevin Clash. He’s African-American. It shouldn’t be surprising, but somehow it was. “Elmo is a brother!” Mr. Clash said. I guess I was only as surprised when I finally saw the guy who does Homer Simpsons voice, took the shine off a little.

I met someone that worked on the Elmo's world section of Sesame Street. He was kind of bummed. A bit of a depressive by nature and facing imminent redundancy as the execs had decided they had stockpiled enough Elmo's worlds to repeat them from then on.

This may be one of the nicest things about being a corporate scheister producing kids TV, you can repeat it and the audience that watched it the first time round should be on to a new show, if not theyre probably too retarded to realise.
